Tiu's mother was a painter, her father a classical musician. Her musical
abilities surfaced early and by the age of 13, she had her first session
job with the then chart act "Kissing The Pink." She began writing her own
songs soon after, continuing through her time at Oxford where she majored
in English Literature. Having completed her degree, Tiu was quick to return
to the studio to record. She began a series of jobs in the recording industry,
becoming general manager of Jamestown Studios and later worked at Wise
Buddah Music, a young and creatively ambitious company which encouraged
and supported new and interesting musical acts. It soon became clear that
Tiu was spending more time singing in the studio than on the business
side and that the music had taken precedence over all else. She began
writing and performing exclusively and has completed a broad portfolio
of songs. Tiu continues to write and perform and lives in London. Two
of her latest songs, "Home," and "Leaving for the Blue" are here in RealAudio
format.
