Odette Hallowes G.C., herself a war heroine, called Violette Szabo “the bravest of us all.” The beautiful young widow of a French officer, Szabo lost her life at the tender age of 23 to a Nazi bullet in the back of her neck. Her undying courage has made her one of the most famous of the young women who worked undercover in France during World War II. Load Bio »
